How do JBT Operate?
At JBT we offer personal services to all our contractors backed up by an excellent record and long term association with the UK contracting market since 2000. Our PAYE Umbrella works in much the same way as others, once signed up all you need to do is send in your timesheets and expense claim forms. Your earnings and taxes are paid each month so you don’t have to wait if your client or agency is late or unable to make payments on time. Below are the steps involved:
Getting Started
- Fill in a request quote form
- Come in for your appointment
- Bring two references and passport (or ID card)
- Send in your contract before you start work
- Begin your contact
- Send in timesheets / expense claims
- Get paid
At the appointment, you will need to bring your passport or ID card and two references as it is a legal requirement for umbrella companies to prove the identities of their contractors. We also require contractors using our umbrella service to give us one month's notice if they are to stop.
Claim Procedure
Please ensure that at the end of each month you fax your expenses form in with your timesheet, listing your travel expenses, for weekly travel in Section 1 Office Expenses, as travel with ticket number and the amount entered.
Section 2 Travel Expenses should only be completed if you have used a car to travel to work and not duplicate the travel expenses with the mileage itemised.
Your first expense form will have to be posted in with receipts and subsequent expenses forms faxed in. Subsequent expense forms can be faxed in with receipts photocopied onto a plain piece of paper.
Monthly expenses will be allowed against the following months pay and failure to submit expense form will mean your expenses will not be reclaimed that month. Expenses will not be reimbursed more than two months in arrears.
